Just wanted to share the progress of the nursery...

Evan's Room

We have finally started working on our sweet baby's room. Yea!!! It bring such relief! The furniture has been moved and the walls have been primed. Jason just put the tape up for the chair railing tonight so we can start painting soon! I feel much better! However, I have got to get busy myself because I need to start working on some things I want to paint for the nursery. Maybe this weekend?

Also, I finished registering!! Yea!! My new job is also going really good. But I am starting to feel tired again. I had a rough day today...I thought I was going to fall asleep at my desk about 3pm this afternoon. But I made it...it was tough!

I am starting my hunt again tomorrow for child care following delivery! Pray that God will provide a great place for Evan to stay while Mommy and Daddy are working. I have been very nervous about child care providers and I seem to be putting it off for that reason. It's so hard for me to comperhend leaving my infant child with strangers. If I only lived closer to home!

Whats New...

Once again, I am aweful about updating the blog. I try hard but I haven't found much time these days. I did go to the the doctor on the 12th and everything went really well with the gulcose test. I guess I past because I haven't heard from my doctor's office. However, my weight was AWEFUL....I have got to start eating better. I have started walking but I crave fast food all the time. I try not to eat bad...but sometimes I just can't help myself.

I just started a new job at Southeast Alabama Medical Center this week. I think it's going to be a great change for me...well I hope. I will be working here following Evan's birth. It just part time which it GREAT!

Well...Evan's bedding has arrived and he's furniture is in...the store is waiting on us to come pick it up. I still haven't decided about what color I am going to paint his room. We have got to start getting busy!!!!!

My registries are completed at Target and Babies R Us. I have to register at a local store here in Dothan and then I'll be done!!! Time is closing in on me really quickly!!! AHHHH!!! I can't believe it will be October next week....so CRAZY!!! However, I can't wait to welcome Evan into the world!!

Well hopefully I will get better at updating...

Evan Benjamin

Yep...that's right we decided on a name....EVAN BENJAMIN. We are getting very excited about his arrival even though we have some time to wait. This past weekend we ordered the nursery furniture and bedding!!! It feels good to make some progress...I know that he will be here before we know it! We also started a registery at Babies R Us but it is not finished just yet.

Things are going great with the pregnancy and it is amazing to actually feel him moving throughout the day. It makes this pregnancy feel so real now. I can't wait to meet our little man!!

Next week is my next doctor's appointment...hopefully things will go well!!

It's A....

On Friday, I had my 20 week ultrasound and we found out the baby is a.....BOY!!!!!! Everything looks really good and the baby is actually measuring one week ahead of schedule and weighed 12 ounces. The doctor said everything was looking great. Once again it was so amazing to see how God forms children in the mother womb. We are so blessed that everything has gone smoothly.

It has been a great weekend for us as well...we got to spend some time with the Davis family just hanging out and we had a great time.

Our little man does not have name yet...but maybe soon. We are still trying to decide. I return to the doctor for a check-up on September 12. Which I am not sure I am looking forward to that appointment due to having to drink the nasty gulcola for my dibetes test.

It's been a long time...

I am not very good at keeping this blog updated. Life has been very busy for Jason and I. We went to the beach for 4th of July weekend and had a great time! I know it was very relaxing for Jason.

Last weekend Jason and I went to look at baby furniture and it was so overwhelming because there are so many choices. I think we have found some furniture that we like, but we are still going to keep looking.

I also researched breast pumps and baby monitors this past week because that is something I am lost about. I have had a few suggestion from people, but we are still going to keep looking and researching. Any suggestions?

This week was mine and Jason's second anniversary. We did not really get to do anything because it was on tuesday and Jason was working out of town. It doesn't feel like I have been married for two years.

On Friday, Mom and Larry came to hang out with us for the night and we stayed up playing Mexican train. I think that is one of my favorite games now. I really enjoyed them coming to stay since they haven't seen the updates on our house.

However, as far as my doctor's appointment goes...it got rescheduled to Wednesday. So I will update then.

Doctor's Appointment

Last Friday, I had my 4 week check up with Dr. Patel. As many of you know, I get stressed when things don't always go my way. The group of doctor's I am using have two separate office's in Dothan and they are across town from each other. Well, I had it in my mind that my appointment was at the Southeast office...so I signed in and the lady at the front desk asked which doctor was I seeing and I told her Dr. Patel. She looked at me like I was crazy and then informed me that he was not at that office today that I was supposed to be at the office across town. I of course felt dumb because there I was in the WRONG place!!!

However, I made it to my appointment across town on time. The check-up turned out GREAT!! I had not gained any weight since four weeks ago! whoo!!! The baby's heart rate was 155 bpm...which is really good. He measured my belly...but there isn't too much there right now. But Dr. Patel told me I was doing great with my weight...which is always great to hear! It is always nice to have a good report!

The pregnancy is going really good. I have not been sick and the only thing that I am feeling is tired....but that will soon come to a close as I am approaching the second trimester!!! Today I am 13 weeks and 3 days. Saturday I will turn 14 weeks and begin my second trimester. I can't believe how fast time is flying. My next appointment is July 18.

Jason and I leave for the beach on Thursday. We are excited about getting to spend some time relaxing!!!
