Come on September

Oh, I long for September...WHY? Our house should be completed by then! I am dying to have my own space again as well as peaceful sleep!

They are still making progress...but it is slowing down. Which is normal. The house is now bricked...we just lack the stone on the front part of the house. The Sheetrock is up and they are mudding the walls now. The trim will be finished soon and painting will start. Yay!!! It's looking good.
I must say...Our builder is awesome! He is going a great job and we are thankful he has made this a great experience so far!
This is a picture taken before the brick was finished.

Pregnancy

I am at 17 weeks and 3 days now. It seems to be going by faster than I think. Anyways, I went to the OB doctor last week and everything checked out great! The baby's heart rate was wonderful...no concerns there.

However, The big ultrasound was scheduled at that appointment. We find out the gender of the baby July 15...which also happens to be our Anniversary! We are excited and can't wait! Do you think it's a girl or a boy???

Yesterday, I went for a visit to the hematologist. My blood platelet count was the same as two weekend ago...112,000. My OB doctor told me it had to be 50,000 to have a epidural but he didn't want it below 70,000. So it's looking good so far. Hopefully there will be no decline in my count from here on out. I go back to the hematologist in 2 weeks.

Moving along...

They are making progress on the building of our new home! Yay! After about a months work the house is framed!! The heating/cooling system is being set-up this week, the electrical work, and plumbing is being done! We also hope to have shingles, windows and doors this week...if the weather will cooperate. Jason an I have been busy deciding on cabinets, lighting, flooring, plumbing fixture, door knobs, doors and window, etc...you get the point. Big decision's have been made! With only a little money spent...haha! However, this experience has been much better building wise this time! Our last house was a disaster!

The picture's go from the beginning to were we are now...

Seventeen Months

I know I am late posting his seventeen months update...but better late then never, right? Oh My, I can't believe Evan will be a year and a half June 27. Time gets by me so fast. Well, Evan is exploring and starting to get adventurous. This little man is all over he place and is starting to try climbing. He is also into EVERYTHING!!!! Just too curious about the world and life.

His interest:

  • Cartoons

  • Cars and trucks

  • Coloring (this is his new favorite)

  • Balloons (What I call his first love)

  • Daddy

  • Outside
  • Balls
  • His puppy dog
  • His passy and "gogo"
  • flushing the toilet
  • Taking a bath

I know I am leaving plenty of things out.

Evan has become pretty talkative. He now says "no no" and "choo choo" ...those are my favorite. He also has started say uh oh dada or whoa dada or hey dada. He just hasn't used mama. Oh well...

He is active as a toddler can be...wish we could spend more time outside but its just TOO HOT!

Sweet smile under that passy

Trying to watch TV around mama taking my picture.

His new red shoes!

Pregnancy/ ITP

My pregnancy...

What do I say? Things are going pretty well as far as nausea goes...However, my energy level has been low and I have been tired. I know that is normal for first trimester. I just entered my second trimester last week and the tiredness has not worn off yet...hoping it will soon.

So my doctor's visit last month was alright. I had not gained weight since my previous visit! yay! However, I am dealing with the low blood platelet issue again. I had problems with my pregnancy with Evan and almost wasn't able to have a epidural..but I did. Anyways, my platelet level has already declined...At six weeks it was 115,000. Normal count for a pregnant woman is 200,000 to 400,000. So to say all that, Dr. Newman sent me to a hematologist at the Cancer Center.

Ok, so the words Cancer center already had me frightened...So anyways, I spent three hours at this place. I had my blood drawn...count was up some to 134,000. Talked to the nurse, then the nurse practitioner followed by the doctor...The Doctor was super nice and came to the conclusion that I have a blood disorder called chronic ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura). So you say, WOW...me too. I was overwhelmed by the process and now feel what I called...labeled. I know you are wondering what ITP is...It is were my body does not produce enough blood platelets which causes me to bruise easier than normal. It also causes nose and gum bleeding. This is a risk factor for me as far as my pregnancy because if my count is not above 100,000 I will not be allowed to have a epidural. It also puts me at risk for excessive bleeding during delivery. However, Dr. Davidson said that if my count continues to decline during pregnancy that he can help me before the delivery in order for me to have a epidural. To say all that, I will be spending this pregnancy in a doctor's office...I have to go to the hematologist every two weeks on top of my regular scheduled OB appointments.

Just praying that my blood count stays high enough so treatment will not have to be a option. I go tomorrow for a count check and to see the nurse practitioner.
