The Big ONE!!!

On December 27, Evan turned ONE!!! We took him to Logan's for lunch since we didn't have church that morning. He was having a bad day because he was teething. However, I captured a few picture's of him on his first birthday...

Christmas Day- Enterprise and Samson

I know I am almost three months late with this post but I need to catch up. I don't want to leave anything out for Evan's first year of life.

Jason, Evan and I drove to Enterprise on Christmas Day morning to spend Christmas with Jason's family. We had a great lunch at Granny's. Evan got to meet Katie, Joey, Paul and Susan (Jason's Aunt, Uncle and cousin's) for the first time. He had a fun time playing with the singing and dancing stuffed animals.

Following lunch we traveled to Samson to Gigi and Pops' house to open Christmas from them. Evan got more TOYS!!! He loved all his gifts and was very blessed this Chirstmas. I will share a few pictures...

Christmas in Birmingham

Jason, Evan and I sent a week in Birmingham with my family! We had a great time and Evan got to meet some people he has never met before. We got to visit with lost of people that we don't see very often. I do believe that we as a family had a GREAT Christmas!

Since this was Evan's first Christmas Jason and I knew that he would be too young to remember much or really know what was going on...so, we gave him his big gift at home. His musical learning table that he LOVES! He also got a little people's tractor and musical lawn mower from mommy and daddy. MeMe and Poppa gave him the little people's farm, clothes, finger puppets, and some DVD's. He loves all his new toys!

Here is a little of what we captured on camera...

The Five Days of Christmas

Well, I was going to do the twelve days...but Evan got sick so we just did 5 days instead. He wore 5 different Christmas shirts/outfits leading up to Christmas...
Monday- I wore my Reindeer shirt mommy made! I loved playing with MeMe's snowman.
Tuesday- I wore my candy cane oneies mommy made. I was not wanting to put my pants on.
Wednesday- I wore my elf shirt mommy made. I am looking really excited.
Christmas Eve- I wore my Santa shirt mommy made and my Santa socks! I love the dump truck at MeMe's house.
Christmas day- I wore my stocking longalls and my stripped socks. I loved my new toy from Granny Russell!

The Davis Family Christmas

Every year we celebrate Christmas with Jason's extended family. This was Evan's first Christmas so we were super excited...However, this was the night Evan started showing true signs of RSV. The poor boy was sooo sick the following week...I would just look at him and cry. Anyways, He got his first two Christmas presents in which he LOVED!!! He got a tonic truck carrier with a bulldozer and a plush monkey that talks. Thanks GiGi and Pops! He also got two wooden puzzle's which he is starting to really enjoy! Thanks Aunt Melissa and Uncle Donald! However, he seemed to enjoy himself part of the night.

It's My Party!!!

Even though Evan didn't turn One until December 27 we had his birthday party early to separate it from Christmas. A big thanks to Aunt Paige and Uncle Eric for hosting the party in their home. We had his party in Wetumpka because it was in the middle for both our families. Everything went really well!!! Evan didn't seem to know what was going on, but what do you expect??? He did love playing in the cake, but did not care for the taste. I was very surprised that he did not have it all over his face. He did enjoy the presents! He wanted me to thank everyone for making his first birthday party special!!!
