Much Thanks

We (Jason, Evan, and I) have not long finished a yummy Thanksgiving meal with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, and Olis. I ate enough to last me a little while...well I hope. It has been a pretty restful day for me and I am thankful. I would like for sweet Parker to hang on a few more days.

However, I wanted to document twelve things I am thankful for this year:

1. Jesus. Without him, I am nothing. Without his grace I would not make it daily.

2. My sweet husband. He has been such blessing and encouragement to me. He is a AWESOME father and husband. So thankful he agreed to let me stay at home with our little ones!

3. My sweet son, Evan. He is such a joy and makes me laugh every day! God couldn't have blessed us with a more precious gift!

4. My sweet son, Parker. I know he is not "officially" here...but I am still thankful for this child that will enter the world Tuesday (if not sooner).

5. My Parents. They have taught me much about life. They are also so helpful and sweet when it comes to my child.

6. My Mother and Father-in-law. They are helpful and sweet to my child as well. I am thankful that they treat me as their own.

7. My Siblings (Brother, Brother-in-laws and Sister-in-laws). I know we may not always agree, but I am thankful God has blessed me with supportive siblings that love not only me but my children. You are all so special and such a blessing!

8. Our home. I am so thankful that God has provided Jason, Evan, Parker and I with shelter. We love and enjoy our new home.

9. Jason's job. If it weren't for Jackson Thornton our family would be in trouble.

10. Food on our table. enough said.

11. A healthy pregnancy.

12. Our good health overall.

We are so thankful for many other things that God has provided for us as well. We stand amazed at his faithfulness as we strive to be faithful to him.

Until next year!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Hope you all had a wonderful day of thanks!

Thirty-Seven Weeks and Two Days

Thirty-Seven weeks and two days...we are counting down!!! As a matter of fact, Jason looked at the clock at 6:30 this morning and reminded me at this time in two weeks we will be starting my c-section. We CAN'T. WAIT. to welcome sweet little Parker into the world! Super excited!!!

My pregnancy over all has been GREAT! It has been a little tough at the end this time because I am chasing a certain toddler all day. I still feel pretty good. The swelling just started this week and it's not too bad. I keep reminding myself that I don't have too much longer.

I saw my OB doctor last week and everything is looking great! I got to hear Parker's sweet heartbeat and it sounds great! He is also measuring on track. I am going back to the Doctor on Friday.

Nesting: YES! I am trying to get everything cleaned and things I want done before this new little one arrives. We will see if all the things on my list get marked off!

37 weeks

Our Weekends

Since we all know my time is drawing near and Jason and I only have a short time before our family becomes four, we have been trying to spend as much time with Evan as possible. The past two weekends we have been busy...well for the most part. Our sweet little man has developed a terrible cold and it has slowed us down some.

Anyways, last weekend we spent some time at GiGi and Pop's house. We of course ate...plenty. Played...lots. Enjoyed...the company. Evan got to spend some time with Aunt Mandi and Uncle Jeremy on Saturday when they came for a visit. It was a very low key weekend, but we enjoyed it!

Hard at work

This past weekend was a BIG weekend for our little man...We (Jason and I) transitioned Evan from the crib to his "big boy" bed. He did G R E A T!!! Friday night, Jason got into the bed with Evan and he went to sleep own his own...which is a first! We have been rocking him since he was born. He only woke up once and called for us. Saturday night, he slept great! So, I call it a huge success! We are so proud of our little man!

Saturday morning we got up and went to the Christmas parade at Eastchase mall. I think Evan really enjoyed himself! He got to run around outside while I did some Christmas shopping. We all had a great morning. We then came home to watch the Tigers beat the Bulldogs and the Tide beat the other Bulldogs! Roll Tide and War...well you know I just can't say that.

Pumpkin Patch

Evan on the covered wagon

Playing with the little pumpkins

riding the train with MeMe

Playing with the gords

What Evan called a "Big Beam" aka Big bean

Mom and I took Evan to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch a few weeks back. Evan was in pumpkin heaven. He loved touching all the pumpkins....we even got to bring a big and few small one's home. I have yet to figure out why this child loves pumpkins so much. Anyways, He enjoyed watching the other children, picking up pumpkins, and running all over the place. MeMe road the train with him...which he said was bumpy. Before we left all three of us road the covered wagon out to the patch to pick out a pumpkin. Evan just ran up and down the patch while I searched for the "perfect" pumpkin for out front porch! We had a great time!

Picture Post

Just wanted to share some pictures:

Sitting on his Big Boy Bed (Before we got the frame) eating a MumMum

Jumping off the bed.

Riding the power wheels Pop's got him.

Doing what he loves: Playing outside with his trucks.

Looking at a airplane...it always makes him smile.

I must say this is one of my current favorite's.

Evan

Oh Me, Oh My! We have our hands full already with our first little boy...are we crazy for having another? I would have to say NO! Evan is such a blessing and so much fun! However, he wont be our "little" boy too much longer...he is growing up too fast. The rate at which he is learning and saying new words has been beyond me. It has been amazing to watch and listen to his vocabulary grow over the past month.

I mentioned in my last post about Evan that he started Mother's Day Out. It has been great for both of us! I did not know what to expect or how he would react...but he LOVES it and ask to go to "school" on the days he doesn't go. But we never ever leave home without these two things:

GoGo and PapPap go EVERYWHERE with us. We are supposed to be working on no paci by the age of two. Well, as you can see that its not happening any time soon. However, GoGo is going to have to see a doctor soon...well thats what I've been telling Evan. If you look close enough you can see his left ear needs major repair. Also, GoGo has developed a hole in his face that will have to be repaired. I know surgery will need to be a option for this lovey soon.

In other news Evan is still in love with these:

Trucks, Cars and Tractors

And on any given day you will find his room like this:

I have tried cleaning it, but it's a lost cause. He dumps all the toys right back out of the basket. Don't tell him, but we are getting him a real toy box for Christmas...in hopes this will help the chaos you see pictured above.

Besides the cars, trucks and tractors...Evan loves playing puzzles with his daddy. Its been neat to watch him as he has learned to put the piece's in the correct place. He also enjoys watching video's on monster trucks, tanks, and the saw mill. Thanks to MeMe, we have been able to watch them over and over and over...you get the point.

Also, Evan LOVES watching praise baby DVD's and can sing the chorus of "God of Wonders". It's adorable if I had to say so myself!

In other exciting news, our little man is now only taking one nap a day! YAY! However, he still has days that are tough on him and he wants to go to sleep early but I have to fight hard for him to stay awake. He is also adjusting to napping in his big boy bed in preparation for the transition which will begin Friday night. Yes, this Friday...so please say a pray for Jason, Evan and I. We are hoping this will be a smooth transition.

I am trying to soak up these last few weeks with my first born. It makes me sad to think about my time being limited with him. However, I am super excited about adding to our family. Evan is the sweetest blessing we could have ever asked for. God has amazed me with his blessing of our family. I never thought I could have this much love for such a little being...he is just so precious to us!
