Happy 9 months!!!!

Happy 9 month Brithday Evan!!! Only a few months left until you turn a year old. My, how time has pasted so fast this year. Evan has brought many good and fun times into this Davis family. What a blessing he is!!!!

What is he doing currently, you may ask...

  • Crawling EVERYWHERE!!!
  • Getting two more teeth.
  • Feeding himself finger foods.
  • Wanting to eat off mommy and daddy's plate.
  • Standing holding on to something.
  • Can pull up alone if he wants.
  • Loves playing with mommy and daddy's shoes.
  • Loves balls.
  • Loves things that move and have wheels (e.i. cars, trucks, strollers)

Those are a few of many new things that Evan has experienced recently! His 9 month check-up is coming up and I will be sure to post his stats. I am anxious to find out his height and weight!!!

Redneck Wagon

When your GeeGee and Pops live in the country, this is what you get to do for fun...
Yes, you are seeing that correctly. My father-in-law hooked up a wagon to the back of his lawn mower and pulled Evan around the yard. HAHAHA! It was a sight...but Evan seemed to enjoy it!

Are You Naked?????

So the titled is an old phrase Leah use to use while we were in high school...haha. Sorry Leah, I had to use it.

Just wanted to post this cute pictures of Evan with just his diaper and hat...

Milstones

I am sooo excited to be posting this on the blog. For months Jason and I have tried to work with Evan on feeding himself. HE DID IT!!! I was so exciting, I just cheered and he laughed.

Also, he pulled up on his own today. I was working on the computer and the next thing I know he was standing up.

This month has brought many changes to our sweet boys world. He is becoming more and more active. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. As the days go by he becomes more and more of a blessing to Jason and I. I can't express how much joy he puts in our heart.
Love this face!!!

I know this isn't a great picture...he was in turn with playing in the grass. I just wanted to show off his outfit...LOVE IT!

The sweet smile that lights my world.

Meeting the newest family member

On Saturday we traveled to Samson to see Uncle Eric and Aunt Paige. We also got to meet the newest member of the Davis family...Trigger(Eric and Paige's Lab) Evan LOVED him! Evan hasn't really been around dogs too much in his short little life. I did not expect him to react the way he did. I thought he would be scared...but he laughed and smiled the whole time.

On Your Mark, Get Set, GO!!!!

Oh My!!! Look what Evan is doing now...

It took him some time to get brave enough to crawl a long distance...it was a progressive thing. It started last week with a few steps and then he figured out he could go further. Now he is all over the place.

He is also teething right now...it's been tough!

Only 4 Months Left

Really??? Are you kidding me? I CANNOT believe Evan is 8 MONTHS OLD. Boy does time go by so fast. So many people told me that the first year of Evan's life will go by so fast...but I didn't believe them. I was so wrong because I can't wrap my finger around the fact that he will be ONE in four months. WOW!!!!

What is our little man up too???

  • He has two bottom teeth
  • Still trying to figure out this crawling thing
  • Can pull up to standing postion with little help
  • LOVES fruit (He would only eat fruit if you let him)
  • Reaches to be picked up
  • LOVES the outside
  • Can be very independent but also wants to be dependent
  • Loves playing in the water
  • Hates getting lotion put on him
  • Still learning to drink from a cup
  • Loves to feel of different things
  • Loves playing peek-a-boo
  • Loves hearing mommy and daddy making different noises
  • Laughs and smiles LOTS!
  • Likes to watch people brush their teeth and dry their hair
  • Loves playing with peoples shoes
  • He dances to some music
  • Is not currently sleeping through the night
  • He LOVES his paci and monkey blanket

Evan is such a sweet child and a joy to be around. Jason and I could not have asked for a bigger blessing. He lights up our days. I told Jason the other day that Evan's worst day's were not that bad. He is such a GREAT baby! I never thought I could love as much as I love our little man. I cannot fathom how big and great our God is to create such a perfect little human to complete our current family. I am so excited to see what God has in store for our son in the days and years to come!

We love you Evan and pray that you may come to know the Lord at a young age and that you will seek and follow hard after him. You are such a blessing in our lives!
